Havana Jazz Festival is an annual music event that takes place every January in Havana, Cuba. Local and International renowned jazz performers gather in the Cuban Capital to share their passion for music with jazz lovers from all over the world. Itinerary

Day 1. Monday, January 22nd, 2024

  • Arrive in Havana, Cuba. Transfer to your accommodation place. Check-in and settle in.

Day 2. Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024

  • After breakfast, walking tour of Old Havana, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visit to its main squares: Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza de Armas, Plaza Vieja and Plaza de San Francisco de Asís.
  • Visit to the National Museum of Music, dedicated to the preservation of the city’s rich musical heritage. This museum houses a vast collection of Cuban musical instruments, ranging from folkloric instruments to a large collection of early Cuban jazz instruments and the ones used in popular music.
  • Lunch at a local private paladar.
  • Visit to the Fine Arts Museum, which is dedicated to investigate, educate and inspire society. It houses the largest collection of art in the Caribbean.

Day 3. Wednesday, January 24th, 2024

  • Visit to Fusterlandia, a community ongoing art project that has covered several suburban blocks with highly stylized public art.
  • Lunch at a beautiful private paladar (optional swim)

Day 4. Thursday, January 25th, 2024

Day 5. Friday, January 26th, 2024

  • After breakfast, transfer to Matanzas Province.
  • City tour of Matanzas Province. Visit to El Retablo Gallery, headquarters of Teatro de las Estaciones. Workshop & Gallery of the artists Manuel Hernández and Osmany Betancourt (Lolo)
  • Walking tour through Paseo Nárvaez, where you can find several art galleries and bars.
  • Visit to the San Juan Grotto to enjoy a 3D material on the Cuban natural heritage. This is an interpretation center advised by the FANJ of Man and Nature.
  • Tour of Plaza Vigía and panoramic view of the Firefighters Museum and Sauto Theater, where the bus will be parked to continue.
  • Lunch at a local Restaurant
  • Continue to Varadero. Check-in. Free night

Day 6: Saturday, January 27th, 2024

  • 12:00PM. Check-out and transfer to Havana.

READY TO VISIT CUBA?

Essential travel documents you must bring with you in order to travel stress-free and get the most from your visit.

A valid passport is required for the entirety of your trip. Make sure it has six months validity at the time of entry.

Cuba requires that all arriving travelers, except Cuban born travelers, have a Tourist Card or Visa to enter the country. If you are flying to Cuba via the US or you are a US citizen, then you will need a “pink” Visa. For those who travel from the rest of the world to Cuba, they will need a “green” one. You can get your visa online or purchase it at the airport during check-in for your flight. If you are a US passport holder residing in the United States you can also purchase it from us. We ship only within the US. Note it will arrive blank for you to fill out with your passport information. This tourist card is valid for 90 days. Make sure you do not misplace it while in Cuba since you cannot leave the country without it, and please, do not detach the two separate sides. Customs in Cuba is responsible for this.

Cuba requires all travelers to Cuba to have travel medical insurance. Most of the U.S. airlines give you the option of purchasing it at the moment of booking your flight ticket.

Make sure to buy a roundtrip ticket or have onward travel from Cuba if you are buying one-way.

As it is mandatory for each traveler to fill out the form, it is available in several languages and must be filled out 48 to 72 hours prior to arrival. It results in a QR code to be presented digitally or printed, in order to facilitate transit through customs. Unfortunately, most of the private houses in Cuba do not have wi-fi service available, so guests usually go to the nearest hotels, buy an internet card and access the service in the hotel lobby.
