Mi Habana Baila is a multidisciplinary project created by Zoraida Maden with the purpose of teaching with total authenticity the popular dance variants of the Caribbean island. Its 1st Edition was held from July 10th to 17th, 2023, and was attended by participants from Spain, Italy, Korea, Panama, Mexico, France, United States, among other countries.
If you are a lover of music and dance and want to know the Cuban roots, join the 2nd Edition, which will also feature a room dedicated to international dances.
Mi Habana Baila Festival, a way of experiencing the real essence of Cuban rhythms, dance, and culture.

Itinerary

Day 1. Monday, July 8, 2024

  • Arrival at Jose Marti International Airport. Transfer to your hotel.
  • Accreditation.
  • 07:00-09:00 pm. Dinner.
  • 09:30 pm-12:00 pm. Welcome ceremony. Presentation of the competitors. Party with recorded music.

Day 2 : Tuesday, July 9, 2024.
  • Hall 1.
    • 10:00 am – 01:00 pm. Cuban and folkloric dances workshop.
  • Hall 2.
    • 10:00 am – 01:00 pm. International dance workshop.
    • 01:00-03:00 pm. Break
    • 03:00-06:00 pm. City Tour of Havana
    • 07:00-09:00 pm. Dinner
    • 09:30-12:00 pm. Enjoy the night. Showtime.

Day 3 : Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
  • Hall 1.

    • 03:00-05:00 pm. Visit to El Palenque, the headquarter of the National Folkloric Ensemble of Cuba.

  • Farewell to all clients and transfer to the airport.

IMPORTANT INFO

READY TO VISIT CUBA?

Essential travel documents you must bring with you in order to travel stress-free and get the most from your visit.

A valid passport is required for the entirety of your trip. Make sure it has six months validity at the time of entry.

Cuba requires that all arriving travelers, except Cuban born travelers, have a Tourist Card or Visa to enter the country. If you are flying to Cuba via the US or you are a US citizen, then you will need a “pink” Visa. For those who travel from the rest of the world to Cuba, they will need a “green” one. You can get your visa online or purchase it at the airport during check-in for your flight. If you are a US passport holder residing in the United States you can also purchase it from us. We ship only within the US. Note it will arrive blank for you to fill out with your passport information. This tourist card is valid for 90 days. Make sure you do not misplace it while in Cuba since you cannot leave the country without it, and please, do not detach the two separate sides. Customs in Cuba is responsible for this.

Cuba requires all travelers to Cuba to have travel medical insurance. Most of the U.S. airlines give you the option of purchasing it at the moment of booking your flight ticket.

Make sure to buy a roundtrip ticket or have onward travel from Cuba if you are buying one-way.

As it is mandatory for each traveler to fill out the form, it is available in several languages and must be filled out 48 to 72 hours prior to arrival. It results in a QR code to be presented digitally or printed, in order to facilitate transit through customs. STAYING CONNECTED IN CUBA

Unfortunately, most of the private houses in Cuba do not have wi-fi service available, so guests usually go to the nearest hotels, buy an internet card and access the service in the hotel lobby. If this is too complicated for you, CUBACELTUR has the perfect solution. You can get a temporary phone line with internet access plans for an additional cost.

– Cancellations made between 19 and 8 days before arrival: Sagua Services & Travel will charge 50% of the package’s total amount (per person).
– Cancellations made less than 7 days before the arrival date are nonrefundable. Sagua Services & Travel will charge 100% of the package (per person).
