Ready for a musical experience in Cuba? Mi Habana Baila is a multidisciplinary project created by the Cuban-Italian dreamer and dance lover, Zoraida Maden. Its main goal is to teach with total authenticity the variants of the Cuban popular dances. Its 1st Edition was held in July, 2023 in Havana, and was attended by participants from Spain, Italy, Korea, Panama, Mexico, France, United States, among other countries.
Get ready to unleash your inner dance star and take your dancing skills to the next level during a 4-day workshop and 2 afternoons of competitions in the categories: Soloist, Dance Couple, Rueda de Casino and Choreographic Timba.
If you are a lover of music and dance, let the rhythm take over! Mi Habana Baila Festival, a way of experiencing the real essence of Cuban rhythms, dance, and culture.

This musical adventure begins as you are met at the airport by our local tour guide and a representative of our company and transferred to your accommodation in the city center. Once you check in and settle in, take your time to enjoy the surroundings.
After dinner, you will enjoy the welcome ceremony for this 2nd edition of Havana’s most dynamic festival, where you will meet the competitors and make new friends from all over the world. Don’t stay seated. Enjoy the music and move your skeleton.
We know you are not Cinderella but at midnight, your tour guide and driver will be ready to take you and the rest of the group back to your accommodation. In case you want to stay to continue enjoying the recorded music, please, bear in mind you’ll have to take a taxi on your own for the way back.

Good morning everyone! Time for a delicious breakfast. This morning put on comfortable shoes and cool clothes, prepare your ears and grease your hips, as we will have our first session of Cuban and folkloric dance workshops. Please note that these workshops last approximately 3 hours, from 10AM to 1PM. Be ready for your transfer to the venue at 9:30 AM.
From 1PM to 3PM you will have free time to decide where and what kind of lunch you would like to have. Your tour guide can help you decide the best option for you. They always have excellent recommendations on international, Cuban and vegetarian food.
Don’t worry if the food is delicious and you think you have too much. After lunch, you will walk through the main squares of Old Havana and enjoy its colonial architecture and the warmth of its people. Afterwards, you’ll continue on a panoramic tour of Modern Havana, stopping by the Revolution Square and the viewpoint of the Morro Castle for an outstanding view of almost the whole city and the entrance to its Bay.
Time to go back to your casa, take a shower and relax. After dinner, get ready to visit one of the most well-known cabarets in Havana since the 1930’s. You’ll enjoy the unforgettable show “Habana de Fiesta” at the famous Parisien Cabaret, with lots of music, dance and colors; a very funny way to learn more about Cuba’s history, culture and its people.

It’s already your third day in Havana! After breakfast remember to be ready at 9:30AM for your transfer to the festival venue. The enthusiastic teachers will be waiting with energy for your second workshop on Cuban and folkloric dances. Once again, wear comfortable shoes and cool clothes.
After lunch, you will enjoy an outstanding performance by a well-known Cuban folkloric dance group. They have become a symbol of Cuban identity and culture, serving as guardians of popular and traditional Cuban expressions rooted in African heritage for more than sixty years.
Go back to your accommodation, take a nap and recharge your batteries. After dinner, enjoy good music and dancing in a paradisiacal place close to the sea. At midnight, your tour guide and driver will be ready to take you and the rest of the group back to your accommodation. In case you want to stay to continue enjoying the recorded music, please, bear in mind you’ll have to take a taxi on your own for the way back.

One more day of Cuban and folkloric dance workshops from 10AM to 1PM. The best exercise for the human body and soul!
During this festival, you’ll have 2 days of Competitions for you to show your skills in different categories. If you don’t want to compete, but only want to participate in the dance workshops and attend the competitions as a spectator, that’s no problem. The competition in the soloist and dance couple categories will start at 3PM. Don’t miss it!
After dinner, get ready for more dancing, but this time you are not learning not even showing up your skills in a competition, you are just having a good time with your old and new friends from everywhere. Let your body feel the heat. Let the energy flow. At midnight, your tour guide and driver will be ready to take you and the rest of the group back to your accommodation. In case you want to stay to continue enjoying the recorded music, please, bear in mind you’ll have to take a taxi on your own for the way back.

Last day of Cuban and folkloric dance workshops. Let your instructors know your impressions of their classes, what you liked and didn’t like.
This afternoon, enjoy the competitions in Rueda de Casino and Timba Coreográfico categories, and after dinner, get ready for the Closing Party Event and the Awards Ceremony. Be part of this amazing experience!

Wake up! This morning you can pack your suitcase and all those souvenirs you have bought for your loved ones. The driver will pick you up 3 hours before your scheduled departure flight time to take you to the airport. Remember to have your passport, airline ticket and all your belongings by hand.

MATANZAS
In case you have opted for the extended program, your journey is not over yet. Take your time to pack your bags; not to go back home, but to continue your journey to one of the most attractive areas of Cuba, Matanzas province, and enjoy a panoramic tour of the city.
Enjoy your free time to get on a drop-on, drop-off bus tour (optional) to go around.

DEPARTURE
Time flies and it’s time to go back home. Pack your bags and souvenirs for your loved ones. Have your passport, visa and personal belongings with you. Make sure you leave nothing in Cuba but your heart and footprint in each of those locals you had the opportunity to share with. As we always say: It’s not a Goodbye, Cuba! It’s just a “Hasta Luego”!

In case there is any activity of the program that for reasons beyond our control is not available on the scheduled date, our company will offer a second alternative to replace it.
As specified above, Flight tickets, Travel Insurance and the Travel Visa are not included, but SST team may assist you with the booking process if needed. Take into account that an extra fee of $50.00 USD will be charged for operating expenses.
Cuba requires all visitors to have a travel visa and travel insurance at the time of entry to the island to cover their entire stay. Please note that SST will book your flight ticket and travel insurance directly through the airline depending on their availability for the scheduled date. Most of these airline tickets are NONREFUNDABLE. If you cancel your trip, the amount paid for the airline ticket and the travel insurance will not be refunded.
SST assists its clients in the choice and purchase of the travel insurance plans, limiting itself only to the assistance during the purchase and not to the implementation of said plans. Therefore, in case of unforeseen circumstances, you should contact your insurance company directly.
To acquire your Travel Visa you can purchase it directly at the airport during your check-in process. In case you want it to be included in your package, please contact our team. An extra fee of $125.00 USD per visa will be added and you will receive your visa at the address you request. We only ship within the United States. Note it will arrive blank for you to fill out with your passport information. This tourist card is valid for 30 days. Make sure you do not misplace it while in Cuba since you cannot leave the country without it, and please, do not detach the two separate sides. Customs in Cuba is responsible for this.

A valid passport is required for the entirety of your trip. Make sure it has six months validity at the time of entry.
Cuba requires that all arriving travelers, except Cuban born travelers, have a Tourist Card or Visa to enter the country. If you are flying to Cuba via the US or you are a US citizen, then you will need a “pink” Visa. For those who travel from the rest of the world to Cuba, they will need a “green” one. You can get your visa online or purchase it at the airport during check-in for your flight. If you are a US passport holder residing in the United States you can also purchase it from us. We ship only within the US. Note it will arrive blank for you to fill out with your passport information. This tourist card is valid for 90 days. Make sure you do not misplace it while in Cuba since you cannot leave the country without it, and please, do not detach the two separate sides. Customs in Cuba is responsible for this.

Make sure to buy a roundtrip ticket or have onward travel from Cuba if you are buying one-way. US airlines flying to Cuba: American Airlines (AA), Southwest (WN) and Delta (DL). SST assists its clients with the airline ticket booking process if required. Please, take into account that your flight ticket will be booked directly through the airline depending on their availability for the scheduled date. Most of these airline tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE. If you cancel your trip, the amount paid for the airline ticket and the travel insurance will not be refunded.

If you are visiting the island and staying on your own, you will probably find that most of the private casas in Cuba do not have wi-fi service available, so guests usually go to the nearest hotels, buy an internet card and access the service in the hotel lobby.
